Anther Goddess Strength Gin
Anther Goddess Strength Gin was made to celebrate the strength of women in the world. We wanted to create a bold navy strength gin to show case some of the amazing women who have made this world wonderful and who were hidden by history. This is reflected on the label where we have hidden the Anther logo. We pay homage to Maria Mitchell an exceptional Astronomer and activist from the USA by putting a constellation on the label that includes Jupiter and Saturn, her favourite planets, and a quote from her on the back.
We started with Anther Australian Dry at the heart of the recipe and built in extra botanicals including Cubeb, saltbush, honey, maple syrup, damiana and sarsaparilla. Damiana is super bitter and an aphrodisiac! Sarsaparilla has a soft vanilla anise flavour which compliments the juniper beautifully, the cubeb is a savoury pepper which is clean and the saltbush mellows the sweetness of the honey and maple sits in the mid palate and both of these work to balance the complexity of honey from Hobart and Canadian Maple syrup. These flavours all work to give a spicy well weighted palate with a soft mouthfeel that does not feel like you are drinking a navy strength gin! It is 58%ABV and was first released in 2017.
Did you know we use 20 botanicals to create Anther Goddess Strength Gin? They are...
Finger Lime, Lemon scented Gum, Eucalyptus Radiata, Macedonian Juniper, Hungarian Juniper, Egyptian Coriander Seeds, Green Indian Coriander Seeds, Cassia Chips, Orris Root, Angelica, Tarragon, Artemisia Absinthium, Clove, Nutmeg, Red Ginger, and Grains of Paradise, Damiana, Sarsaparilla, Salt Bush, Cubeb, Honey from Hobart, and Maple Syrup.

The Anther Flavour Wheel
Did you know, each bottle of Anther Gin has a hidden recipe on the back?
-
Whats a flavour wheel and where is it?
When you get your yummy bottle of Anther Gin into those hot hands of yours, flip your bottle over and have a peek at the back label. At the very top of each back label you will see a wheel with 8 different botanicals sections. Each section will tell you if there's a lot, or a little of these botanical bombshells in the gin. Neat, huh?
-
How do you drink your Anther Gin neat?
We recommend via your mouth ;)
Have a little sip of water before you drink your gin straight, this lubricates your mouth and prepares it for the high alcohol content.
Let the flavour wash over your mouth and breathe out after you've taken a sip. You might pick up citrus, sweetness, spicy or savoury notes. As you sip, we recommend looking over the flavour wheel, there might be some flavours that jump out at you that you know from the botanicals!
Tip - If you sniff your gins with your mouth open (key here is to NOT breathe the gin in through your mouth), your mouth gets prepped for tasting the high proof spirit.
