How did Anther Spirits start?
Anther Spirits began in 2016 as a tiny start up by Dervilla McGowan and Sebastian Reaburn. The duo hold a cumulative 45+ years in the Australian and world wide hospitality industry. Dervilla has a PhD in Microbiology, and cocktail maker extraordinaire Sebastian’s industry knowledge has led them to create nationally and internationally award winning spirits.

Our very own Dr.D brings a wealth of scientific knowledge and methods to distilling Anther Spirits. We think the key to good spirit making is a willingness to play with flavour. We work closely with local foragers and growers of Aussie botanicals to explore the wonder of natural flavours we have available to us in this amazing country we call home.

Our recipes are steeped in the long histories of spirit making. Our methods of distillation are built on the creativity of science. Our curious minds and love of experimenting helps us discover bold, new flavours.
